Temps de lecture estimé à 2 min. 15 sec.

The European information centre of Haute-Loire and the CRI/Greta du Velay are pleased to invite you to the conference « From Intercultural dialogue to European citizenship » :

the 6th of February 2009  from 9h30 to 16h30

in the Département of Haute-Loire building in le Puy-en-Velay

The morning is dedicated to educators and trainers with the objective to understand better what are stakes of intercultural dialogue. What is the influence of our representations, of our culture and history? In which way respecting and understanding cultural diversity facilitate the construction of a democratic society based on universal shared values? How can this dialogue facilitate the setting up of an active citizenship?

The afternoon is to analyse the concept of European citizenship. How it was born on cultural, political and social basis but also how citizenship is lived and felt by each individual. A European member of parliament talks about the daily work of European construction. Young adults who have lived a mobility experience provide their feedback: what does  it mean for them being a young European?
